Those are big boats and can obviously take some huge water. I would be interested to know if any pro walleye guys use a hot foot.

Sounds like the spawn was on if the big girls were up that shallow. Did you guys get hit with any weather? I know down in NE OK and AR they got like a foot of rain. One of the lakes I fish a lot down in OK was 30 feet above normal pool.

Good point about the walleye boats. Do you have a walleye rig? If you had a bass boat it would take you one tourney blast off or one bout with rough water and you would ask yourself how you managed before.

This really isn’t a problem I have had, I think the hot foot is usually pretty stiff and there is a strong spring also on the foot pedal to give it a very firm feel.

I have never heard a person say once they get a hot foot they would ever got back.

You ever been to Table Rock before? They should still be prespawn right? I know that lake can really get going on a good jerk bait bite.

I have had one in all the boats I have had, very nice when in traffic, rough water, blast off etc. Also I would highly recommend blinker style trim. Keeping both hands on the wheel at all times while running 60+ is a necessity.
