Fishing: 1 year, 5 months agoExcellent info — thanks. Say I went with the ORRA SX and paired it with the Veritas you mentioned, would that be a set-up that would work well for jigging? Or are we looking at cranking? I would like to have a set-up for jigging so what would your recommend for rod length, power, etc?

Fishing: 1 year, 5 months agoI have very limited experience with casting equipment and would like to get a new set-up this Christmas. Looking for the total of the rod/reel to be in the $200 neighborhood if possible. If going higher is necessary, I guess I could be game, but want to know if anyone has any recommendations.

There were concerns about the size of O’Dowd for being too small (bumper boats), and Minnetonka being too big (gas prices).
