Cool beans that you’re getting a new one. Too bad you had to be put through the ringer to get it and you lost all of your waypoints, but hopefully this one will not be as susceptible to water leakage.

That’s is not good customer service and on the flip side, another reason why you should never go out and buy the first generation of anything. There always seems to be some kind of flaw. Those units look sweet, I have been contemplating whether to make the jump or to ride out my lcx27 for awhile. The HDS10′s don’t come cheap.

HST-WBL … that’s the transducer I needed. SHOP AROUND! I picked this up at the Northwest Sports Show for $70.00. Searching online prior to the show, they were going for anywhere between $107 – $149.

I think there are only 2 options and from what I have heard the 83/200 is the correct one for normal use.
