Jeff Stegner, Fishwrench.com Technical Advisor, along with partner Ron Tolliver, captured the top accolades in the MO-Ark Freedom Team Tournament Series, presented by Sportboats USA. This was the fourth event of five in the series. Boats launched into a warm Lake of the Ozarks from Drake Harbor in mid-July for the tournament.
The Stegner and Tolliver team worked their way north toward the upper end of the lake, and focused efforts on silted-in wood structure. Fishing this pattern, they bucketed 6 fish at a total weight of 17.45 pounds. They were awarded $5,000 for their efforts, plus a bonus of $360 for scooping up the biggest bass of the day at 5.85 pounds.
Jeff Stegner was later quoted as saying on his team's success, "just a plain hard day's work!"
